A Message from the Cal Alumni Pride BoardDear Cal Alumni Pride Member, We're already half-way through May, what a busy month it's been! In addition to attending Happy Hour meet-ups with members, the 10th UC Berkeley Lavender Graduation Celebration took place on May 7th. There are still more events this month -- from a movie night celebrating Asian Pacific Heritage month to a Harvey Milk Dal panel on LGBT Activism. The Cal Alumni Pride Board 10th Annual UC Berkeley Lavender GraduationThe 10th Annual Lavender Graduation was held on May 7th at UC Berkeley's Alumni House and featured West Sacramento mayor Christopher Cabaldon as its keynote speaker. Movie Night with GAPAIn celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in May, CAP will be co-hosting a film screening with GAPA (Gay Asian Pacific Alliance) in San Francisco. This movie night and reception highlights and celebrates Asian Pacific Heritage Month with the showing of the film "All About Dad" with special guest, "All About Dad" actor Chi Pham, on Thursday, May 20, at 7:00 pm. Harvey Milk Day PanelJoin Cal Alumni Pride and Stanford Pride on Wednesday, May 19th, from 7:00 - 8:30 pm for a look at how LGBT activism has changed since the days of Harvey Milk. Celebrate the first annual Harvey Milk Day with a panel of LGBT historians, activists, and filmmakers, who will be sharing their experiences and insights on the changing dynamics, politics, and tools of LGBT activism.
