Cal Alumni Pride President Alex Randolph and Communications Chair Adrian Diaz attended the 2009 California Alumni Association Alumni Scholars Luncheon on November 19, 2009 to present this year’s Cal Alumni Pride Scholarship Winners.
After the huge success at the SF Pride Parade, Cal Alumni Pride was again front and center at the Castro Street Fair in San Francisco with our own tent, representing the California Alumni Association and UC Berkeley proudly.
On July 20th, 2009 we celebrated our one year anniversary at Pisco Lounge in SF. Cal alumnus and owner James Schenk ‘96 has been nationally recognized for his contemporary approach to Pan Latin flavors both at his ground breaking restaurant Destino and for his alfajores cookies. We had a great turnout and a tasty birthday cake.

Cal Alumni Pride joined the Ivy League LGBT alumni clubs for a San Francisco Pride kickoff mixer at Infusion Lounge. Special thanks to Michael Costa from the Harvard Gay and Lesbian Caucus for organizing the event.
Over a thousand people celebrated the 141st anniversary of the University of California and honored the 2009 Alumnus of the Year, Levi Strauss and Co. Chairman Emeritus Robert D. Haas ‘64. Cal Alumni Pride was proud to host a table and we are looking forward to increasing our presence at the Gala in 2010.
Cal Alumni Pride members and their friends met up for our March Happy Hour at Cav Wine Bar. We arranged a flat fee of $25 per person for 4 tastings (2 white & 2 red) and an assortment of appetizers. Over 30 people started spring off right with great wine, conversation, and people.
